Mercedes-Benz needed occupational health and safety training for a large management audience across the Group and its subsidiaries. The challenge was not simply to transfer regulations into a WBT, but to make leadership responsibility concrete, relevant and manageable within a significantly reduced learning time.

I contributed to the instructional concept and translated workshop content into interactive learning mechanics. One central element was a Three.js component that placed learners in recognizable work environments such as production, warehouse and office settings. Instead of reading about hazards in isolation, learners had to inspect situations, identify relevant risks and connect them with the responsibilities of a manager.

My role combined instructional design with technical implementation: I helped shape the interaction concept, produced and prepared 3D content, and integrated the experience into the final web-based training. Houdini supported the 3D production workflow, while Three.js made the interactive scenes usable directly in the browser and within the course environment.

The overall training was delivered in German and English for managers across leadership levels L1–L5. The project demonstrates the kind of work I focus on most: reducing complex technical or regulatory material to a clear mental model, then choosing interaction and technology only where they improve understanding.
